I’m sure you’ve seen Youtubers show you there at home spa routine. It usually goes something like a hot bath, followed by a DIY face mask, and topped with a candlelit room. As relaxing as it looks, most days the idea of treating myself to spa night sounds exhausting. From making a bath and a face mask to then cleaning the bath, by the end I don’t feel relaxed. I know it’s important to take time to pamper yourself now and then, so when I need some TLC, I do a quick spa night. Here are 5 steps for an at-home spa night.
Step 1 create ambiance: To help you unwind create a relaxing environment. Light candles and put on calming music to get you in the right mindset.
Step 2 Quick Facial: Grab a bowl and pour hot water into it. Take a few drops of your favorite essential oils in the bowl. Scents like lavender or eucalyptuses are known to help reduce anxiety and release tension. Place your head over the bowl with a towel overhead. Keep your head there for a few minutes to let your pores open up. Breath in the essential oils.
Step 3 Face mask: Rather than make your own face mask, just grab your favorite one and leave it on per instruction. I prefer not to make my own on days like this because it takes more time to make and clean up.
Step 4 Rinse off: A hot shower, rather than a bath, does the trick to relax me. In the shower, rinse off the face mask. Next, exfoliate with a scented body wash. My favorite is the Bath and Body Works Eucalyptus Spearmint body wash. Once you step out of the shower, lather on the Bath and Body Works Eucalyptus Spearmint body lotion.
Step 5 Spray bed sheets with scent: The final step is to spray down your bed sheets with aromatherapy sprays like Buenas Noches linen spray. To help put you to sleep.

This is great! I may actually try it!! I totally agree with you about how exhausting so many diy spa days sound….If I only had servants, I would be happy to do some of the other approaches I read about. Yours sounds achievable; thanks!
