After the holidays my skin tends to be at its worse. Showing me all my bad decisions of indulging in too many sweets. Experts will say that your skin will show you signs of unhealthy eating by detoxing through your skin pores. In other words, you will likely get acne or other skin problems if you are not eating properly. Although acne isn’t a problem for me, I will get small flesh color bumps on my face. This is caused by having high amount of yeast, which is usually in high sugar and processed foods.
The first step to detoxing skin is to start eating healthy and drink tons of water. But I wanted to also try a face mask that would help purify my skin. After some research, I found a simple turmeric face mask that I thought I would try and it seem to work. My skin felt clear after the mask.
Turmeric is one of my favorite ingredients, since it is a powerful anti-inflammatory with strong antioxidant nutrients. Just mix 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/8 tea spoon of turmeric in a bowl and apply for a few minutes.
