Now that summer here, it’s always nice to have a cold treat waiting for you in the freezer. Since ice cream is high on calories, we try to find alternatives. Here are some easy to make frozen treats that are high in protein and nutrients.
Sprinkled Yogurt Grape Skewers:
Ingredients:
- Grapes
- Greek Yogurt
- Sprinkles
- Skewer Sticks
Cut skewer stick in half and add grapes. Twirl the skewer stick with the grapes in the yogurt bowl until the grapes are covered. Cover the plate with wax paper and place the skewers. Add sprinkles as you like. Put into the freezer for about 20 minutes.
Frozen Protein Chocolate Dipped Blueberries:
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp of coconut oil
- 30g of chocolate protein powder
- 1 Tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
- Blueberries
On low heat, melt the coconut oil in a sauce pan. Slowly add the protein and cocoa powder, while continuously stirring. Place a blueberry on a toothpick to dip into the chocolate sauce. Make sure to start covering the blueberries before the dip dries and hardens. Place them on a plate covered in wax paper. Put into the freezer for about 20 minutes.
